Opened in 1983, the Drypool Green Community Centre was originally a warehouse and stable block owned by Hull City Council. It was gifted to local residents whose time, energy and commitment helped to transform the building into the centre as it is today.
When the centre first opened, it held several fun activities such as -
- a youth club
- dancing
- keep fit classes
- mother and toddler groups
Up until 2020, the centre had continued to provide activities and support, especially for older people. Activities included trips using their minibus to markets and garden centres across Yorkshire.
Following the COVID-19 lockdown, Drypool Green Community Centre sadly faced lower attendance. Despite the best efforts, the centre has sadly closed until further notice.
