Course Information

To raise awareness of the impact of domestic abuse on those with care and support needs and support options available.

By the end of the course participants will have -

  • examined their own attitudes and understanding of domestic abuse
  • explored the forms domestic abuse can take and the contexts in which it can occur
  • explored coercive control and the impact on those with care and support needs
  • examined some of the myths and assumptions around domestic abuse
  • looked at what services and support are available locally
  • examined their own practice in response to domestic abuse
