Course Information

To benefit learners by enabling them to attain the knowledge and practical competencies needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations.

By the end of the course, participants will cover the following First Aid procedures -

  • health and safety First Aid regulations
  • managing an incident
  • the priorities of First Aid
  • treatment of an unconscious casualty
  • resuscitation
  • shock
  • bleeding
  • common workplace injuries
  • safe use of an AED
Course length One day
Target group
This course is for people who have a specific responsibility at work to provide basic first aid to people in a range of emergency first aid situations.
