  • by the end of the course participants will have an understanding of -
    • how a pressure sore occurs
    • how sores are graded
    • principles of pressure relief
    • assessing risk
    • the role of nutrition in preventing skin damage
    • factors effecting wound healing
Course length 3 hours
Target group
Staff who are involved in the care of children and adults with physical disabilities, or severe mental or learning impairment.
