  • identify key transitions for children
  • recognise the process and effect of change
  • explore the transitions on identity
  • to examine adolescence, features, challenges, and expected milestones
  • to introduce the process of leaving care and the procedures involved
  • to consider internal and external sources of support available to carers and young people
