Autism Awareness Level 2 - Learning and Development courses

This lesson is designed for anyone who requires an intermediate understanding of autism and the support autistic people may need. It meets the requirements of the Core Capabilities Framework for Supporting Autistic People (2019).

On completion of this lesson, you will be able to -

• explain what autism is and how people experience it
• outline the potential impact of autism on the family during early years, adolescence and adulthood
• help someone get a diagnosis
• communicate effectively with an autistic person
• support an autistic person into employment
