Hull's location is perfect to capitalise on the UK’s offshore wind industry. It is playing a key role in achieving the government's targets of net zero emissions by 2050.
The renewable energy sector is the single biggest influence on the local economy for generations. The energy sector creates thousands of new jobs. It brings a wealth of opportunity for local people and businesses.
Through the Green Port Growth Programme, £25.7 million of RGF Funding has been secured for -

- research and development
to make sure that local people and businesses get the maximum benefit from the renewable energy sector.
