Apply for, renew, or update a Blue Badge

Apply for a Blue Badge or renew your existing Blue Badge if it is due to expire in the next 10 weeks using our online Blue Badge application form. The renewal of a Blue Badge still requires the full application form to be completed and proofs to support the application. We no longer issue reminders for expiring Blue Badges.

The cost of a Blue Badge is £10. This will only be payable if the Blue Badge is approved.

When applying for a Blue Badge, you will need to upload your proofs. If you are unable to provide your proofs when completing your application, you can arrange an appointment to provide your proofs by telephoning 01482 210 000.

If you do not have access to the internet to apply online, call 01482 210 000 to arrange a telephone appointment or complete your application.

What happens next

If your application is successful, the Blue Badge is delivered to your chosen address within a minimum of 10 working days. Once the badge is approved you will be asked to make a £10 payment.

If your application is unsuccessful, we will notify you and tell you the reason why you are not eligible. You can access more information on how to appeal a Blue Badge decision.

Change of address

If you have changed your name or address you will need to notify us using the Blue Badge enquiry form below. Your Blue Badge is still valid if your details have changed.

If you have moved to the Hull area and want your address updated on your Blue Badge you need to contact your previous local authority to get this changed.

Incorrect spelling of your name

If your name has been spelt incorrectly you can still use your Blue Badge. Having an incorrect name on your badge does not make your badge invalid, however, you can still apply to have this amended if you wish.

If your photo is incorrect you will need to report this so we can send you a new badge with the correct photo.

Change of name

If you have changed your name and would like this to be on your Blue Badge you need to re-apply in your new name and provide proof of name change. Your current badge will then be cancelled.
