The Strength to Change service welcomes calls from partners or ex partners, friends and relatives who are concerned about a perpetrator. The safety of those at risk - usually women and children - are the priority. They will -

  • give callers details about the service
  • explain who they are, how their programme works, how a man can access the services. They will explain that anger management is not an issue
  • encourage partners, ex partners, friends and relative to have realistic expectations about the likelihood of perpetrators changing their behaviour
  • explain about the family practitioner service specifically aimed at partners and children of men who are on our programme

Strength to Change does not provide -

  • over the phone counselling or crisis intervention
  • couple counselling
  • a drop-in service. It is appointments only
