Combined Mayoral Authority Election

Hull City Council and East Riding of Yorkshire Council have agreed on a devolution deal with the government which will create a combined authority. This means money and power can move from government to decision makers in our area.

It will also introduce the elected role of the Combined Authority mayor.

Before an election can take place, certain steps need to be taken. When this process has been completed, a timetable for the election will be agreed and the date of the election will be confirmed. This is likely to happen in early 2025. Details about the election will be updated here.

When the timetable is in place, registered domestic electors will of course receive their poll letter (also known as a poll card), advising them about the election and how they can cast their vote.
