Keeping your home warm

The Warm Homes Team provide a specialist service with the primary aim of reducing fuel poverty and increasing domestic energy efficiency in the city and can help with -

  • energy efficiency grants
  • energy efficiency advice
  • fuel poverty advice and signposting
  • benefit referrals
  • referrals to our partners for additional support
  • referral to other council services
  • support services such as signing up to the -
    • Warm Homes Discount
    • Priority Services Register

Your local Citizens Advice can provide lots of free advice on paying energy bills or keeping your home warmer.

Grants are available for people in energy debt through British Gas Energy Trust.

Green Doctors are a free, impartial energy advice service. They offer home visits and telephone consultations to help you -

  • save energy in your home
  • reduce your bills
  • access other services and available initiatives
