From May 2015, the Department for Education set aside money in what is called the Adoption Support Fund (ASF). It is available nationally.
This was established because many families need some kind of support following adoption. Some have struggled to get the help they need in the past.
It is hoped that the fund can enable them to access the services they need more easily in future.
