The support we offer

The Hull DAP team are a group of professionals who work together in the same office. They provide a support service for victims and survivors of domestic abuse. The staff team provide a support service to victims and survivors of domestic abuse and hold abusers 100% accountable for their behaviour.

If you are aged 16 or over, the DAP service can support you with any of the following support options -

  • Telephone advice and support
  • Housing advice and support to access emergency accommodation
  • Support and advice to remain in their own home, including Sanctuary Scheme options which includes enhance security and safety
  • Support to access civil and criminal legal options and support to attend criminal and family courts and solicitors. Support to seek advice to access civil orders
  • safety planning for you, your children and your immediate family
  • Referrals to other services, e.g., health, mental health, substance misuse services, debt / benefit advice, services for children
  • Advocacy support
  • signposting to other agencies who can assist with meeting your needs
  • Trauma Informed post abuse recovery support group work

We understand how difficult it can be to access support and understand the support you need varies at different times. We will value your thoughts, wishes and feelings and work with you at your own pace.

  • home visit if it is safe to do so
  • housing advice and support
  • legal advice and support in attending solicitors or court
  • specialist support throughout the Criminal Justice System
  • safety planning for you, your children and your immediate family
  • home security
  • group work and 1-1 sessions
  • financial advice to benefits
  • referral to specialist services such as health, drug and alcohol services
  • referral to specialist support services for children and young people
  • support to access emergency accommodation
  • advocacy support
  • support to attend appointments
  • signposting to other agencies who can assist with meeting your needs
