Major changes are planned to improve the parking and access within East Park.
The plans -
- improve accessibility
- improve parking within the park
- historic main gates at East Park will be re-opened in-line with existing park opening times
- gates at James Reckitt Avenue will be brought back into use
- introduction of a one-way system from the main gates across the front of the park to the Woodford exit
- expansion of current parking provision to meet the needs of all park users
- extra accessible parking will be created
- improve crossing facilities within the park
- improvements to footpaths
As part of the proposals -
- the main gates to East Park will re-open to motorists
- there will be increased parking
- a one-way system from the main gates across the front of the park will be introduced
- new footpaths will be made
- there will be new access arrangements for motorists from James Reckitt Avenue to the model boat pond
As well as this, there will be new safety measures implemented. They will coincide with the introduction of Martyn’s Law.

Plans will be on display at Woodford Leisure Centre cafe, Holderness Road between Monday 4 December and Sunday 10 December. Drop-in events are taking place for people who may have any questions and would like to speak to the team.
These will take place at the cafe area on -
- Monday 4 December - 2pm to 7pm
- Sunday 10 December - 10am to 4pm
