You can enquire about land ownership and boundary matters by obtaining the Title Register and Title Plan for any land from the Land Registry.

We keep a record of land and property that the city council have an interest in. If you would like information on a building or land owned by the city council, contact us and provide your -

  • name
  • address
  • telephone number

We need a map showing -

  • the location of land or property
  • a description of location

Right to Buy and garden land purchases

The Right to Buy team deal with requests to purchase land from owners of former council residential properties that have been sold under the Right to Buy scheme. You will need to submit a request to purchase the land to the Right to Buy team -

and include the following -

  • for what purpose would the land be used. For example -
    • to extend existing garden
    • vehicular access
    • extension
  • approximate measurements of the land
  • a sketch plan indicating the area of land
  • any anti-social behaviour problems they may be experiencing. For example, fly tipping or ball games
