How to apply
Unfortunately, there is nowhere central such as a website advertising First Homes for sale, however, First Home properties are advertised directly through local developers or house builders within Hull. If you look at their websites, you will be able to view any First Home properties that are for sale.
If you are looking to purchase a First Home re-sale property, you can enquire with local estate agents, and they will be able to inform you of any re-sale properties they may have available.
If you have found a property you would like to purchase, contact the individual developer or estate agent and they will undertake the necessary checks to ensure you meet the eligibility criteria and help complete the application on your behalf which will be sent to Hull City Council for review.
Ownership of the property
You will retain full ownership of the property as with any normal market sale.
Selling your home
When you purchase a First Home the 30% discount is written into the Title Deeds by the solicitor or conveyancer.
When you come to sell your First Home the same 30% discount of the current market value will be passed on to the buyer, and this ensures the home will remain affordable forever.
