Planned works

We need to do some more repair works to the below ground drainage systems outside of the block. This is extra to those done earlier in the year. The works will take approximately 6 weeks to complete.

During this period there will be some noise from the drain cleaning. There will be 2 days when your water and drainage services will not be working in your flat between the hours of 8am and 4pm. This downtime to your water and drainage service is essential. It makes sure we can properly repair the drains outside of the block.

The works are essential to repair ageing below ground drainage systems. They will keep drainage water flowing away from the block correctly.

The work is due to start on Monday 15 July 2024. We expect to complete the work by Friday 23 August 2024. Works will be Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.

The work will be managed by Kingstown Works Ltd (KWL). It will be carried out by their subcontractors, The Drain Company, and FR Scott.

KWL will provide a Customer Liaison Officer (CLO). They will visit you to explain when you will be affected. They will discuss any specific requirements you may have.

We will provide toilet facilities outside of the block for when you are unable to use your toilet. Bottled water can also be provided when your water services are not working.

There will be up to 5 operatives on site working at different locations around the outside of the block. This is as well as inside the block in service cupboard. All operatives will be clearly identifiable and wearing high visibility clothing.

The work areas will be barriered off to prevent access by residents and members of the public. It is important for your safety that you do not enter a work area. There will be hazards, such as open drain covers and machinery present. There will be noise because of the works but we will try to keep this to a minimum.

We have a duty to carry out this work to make sure that your home is safe. We will work with you to try and resolve any issues or concerns you may have.
