Rechargeable repairs and appeals

Appeals

If you are unhappy with a decision to issue you with a recoverable order you have the right to appeal against this.

To appeal, you must give your reasons why you think the recoverable order is unreasonable. Do this through email or write to your local Area Housing Team.

The Appeals Process

If an appeal is received, we will email Credit Control Debtors Team. This is to suspend recovery action pending the outcome of the appeal.

Stage one

Your appeal will be investigated. A full response or an acknowledgement letter, informing you if more time is needed will be sent to you within 10 working days.

Stage 2

If you are not satisfied with the Stage one response, we will re-investigate the matter. A full response or an acknowledgement letter, informing you if more time is needed will be sent to you within 20 working days.

Stage 3

If you are not happy with the outcome of the Stage 2 appeal your next correspondence will be referred to our Legal Services section.
