We care about our tenants and we want to make homes -
- better
- safer
- more comfortable
Rossett House is an older building that needs a lot of work to meet new safety rules and modern living standards.
What we’ve done so far
- closed gaps in the roof to stop fires from spreading
- covered the outside cladding for safety
- installed special fire-rated doors for each flat
- updated fire extinguishers in key areas like the lift and boiler room
- put up signs to help people find their way around
- hired a contractor to check the flat entrance doors every year
- increased patrols, with two visits each night, to keep the building safe from fire hazards
What we will do next
There’s still important work to be done. We are talking to residents about what should happen to Rossett House in the future.
The consultation will close in February 2025. After this, we will use the feedback to make a decision in spring about whether to refurbish the building or demolish it.
