We are carrying out surveys to update our records about the condition of High-Rise flats and for future improvement works including District Heating.
These surveys will take place in communal areas wherever possible but if your home is directly affected you will receive a letter.
Houses, Bungalows and Flats
We have 23,000 homes in our stock and over the next 3 years we have ambitious plans to check the condition of every home. The check will be a visual inspection of all the rooms inside your home, and outside will also be looked at.
It takes around 30 to 45 minutes, and we will be taking photos of anything where repairs or possible future improvements are noted. We will use the results to identify when and where homes will need planned improvements and what this means for you.
Next steps
You will receive a letter from us to let you know your home is due to be surveyed. You will then be contacted to make an appointment to carry out the survey either by -
- us to make an appointment for one of our Project Surveyors to carry out the survey, or
- Enviro AC – a company working on our behalf who will send one of their surveyors
Each surveyor will be carrying an identification card, which you should always ask to see before giving anyone access to your home.
In the meantime, you should continue to report any repairs to us.
