Course Information

To ensure that the voice of the child is actively heard and where necessary to support effective action to safeguard our children and young people.

  • To consider how accurately our records, assessments and reports evidence "the voice of the child"
  • to identify how we involve them in decisions that affect their lives whilst also supporting a clear articulation of the child's story and rationale for our involvement
  • To understand how records support identify and healing
  • To think about how children communicate to us, not just about what they see, think and feel but how they react to the world around them
  • To reflect on how well we as practitioners are able to put ourselves in the child's shoes and think 'what is life like for this child right now?'
