The expect respect educational toolkit is a free resource which can be used in a variety of settings, including; schools, colleges, youth settings, etc, and assists to raise awareness of healthy relationships with children and young people. This session aims to offer common tools for agencies to raise awareness of the impact of domestic abuse on children and young people and to provide a shared understanding of risk identification in relation to domestic abuse, stalking, and honour based abuse in young people’s relationships. The SafeLives young people’s risk identification checklist (RIC) is a tool which is used nationally by practitioners who come into contact with young people aged 13-17 years who are experiencing domestic abuse. The young people’s RIC tool helps practitioners to identify known risks in domestic abuse and includes specific considerations in relation to young people to inform professional judgement and safety planning. It will help to identify suitable cases to be referred to MARAC and inform referrals to children’s social care. Participants will increase their knowledge and understanding of:
