As temperatures drop over winter, it is important to prepare to keep safe and warm. You can find useful information about weather, advice on staying healthy and warm, road safety and more.
Bin collections
If we can't collect your bins because of the bad weather -
- put your bins out for collection on the scheduled days
- if they are not collected, leave them out. They will be collected as soon as it is safe to do so. Saturdays and Sundays may also be used to catch up collections where possible
- although the road and pavement conditions may improve significantly, service catch up across the city can take a few days to complete
- if we have not emptied your bin for more than one collection, bagged side waste will be taken from beside that bin on the next scheduled collection
