About us

The Hull Virtual School consists of 19 members of staff in a range of full time, part time and casual positions. Our Virtual Head reports to

• the Head of Education Standards (11 to 19)
• the Assistant Director for Learning and Skills
• our Director for Children's Services

all of which serve on our governing board. 

Our team is split into three phases, based on specialist areas and experience. These phases cover -

• the Early Years and Primary Phase
• Secondary Phase
• Post 16 Phase

We also have a School Business Manager, who has oversight of finance, IT and administration. 

In recent years, our statutory duties have extended to provide advisory support and signposting for Post Looked After Children (PLAC) and Children with a Social Worker (CWSW) - covered by our Strategic Lead. More recently, that duty has extended to also offer support for Kinship Carers.
