Avenues and Pearson Park
If you are an owner of a dwelling house in the Avenues and Pearson Park conservation area, you need to apply for planning permission to carry out any of the following work -
- the enlargement
- improvement
- or other alteration
of -
- a dwelling house by the removal or alteration of any window, or any bay, in an elevation facing a highway
- a projecting porch or the enclosing of a recessed porch of a dwelling house in an elevation facing a highway. This includes the installation or replacement of -
- a bargeboard of a dwelling house in an elevation facing a highway
- a front door of a dwelling house in an elevation facing a highway
- eaves gutters, gutter blocks or brackets and fascia boards of a dwelling house in an elevation facing a highway
Planning permission is also required for -
- the installation
- alteration
- replacement
of -
- a chimney on a dwelling house
- solar PV or solar thermal equipment on a dwelling house roof slope facing a highway, or a roof slope facing a highway on a building situated within the curtilage of a dwelling house
An alteration to the roof of a dwelling house consisting of a change in the type of roofing material.
The erection or construction of a porch outside any external door of a dwelling house in an elevation facing a highway.
Planning permission is also required for -
- the formation
- laying out
- and construction
of a means of access to the highway which is not a trunk road or a classified road.
Development consisting of the provision within the curtilage of a dwelling house of a hard surface within a front garden adjoining a tenfoot access and to all properties with an existing vehicular crossover to the public highway within the Avenues part of the Avenues and Pearson Park conservation area.
