Check if you need planning permission
Find out whether your project requires planning approval on the Planning Portal website.
You can get confirmation of if you need to apply for planning permission from us by filling in our planning permission enquiry form (opens in a new window).
Email your completed form to dev.control@hullcc.gov.uk.
There is a £55 charge for this service which can be paid by telephoning 01482 300 300 to pay by credit or debit card. Alternatively, cheques can be made payable to Hull City Council.

If you do need planning permission, the process takes approximately 8-weeks from the date your application is confirmed as valid. The progress of your application can be followed on the Planning Portal.
