High street accelerator - Stepney area

Get involved

The High Street Accelerator is a community-led project. The key to creating the vision for the area are -

  • residents
  • businesses
  • property owners
  • local groups
  • organisations

The High Street Accelerator Partnership will decide how the money is spent. These decisions will be guided by the people in the area that -

  • live
  • work
  • shop

A range of other engagement opportunities will take place throughout the project. These will be updated on the events page.

The Partnership will be supported by us throughout the pilot programme. We will also act as treasurer for the funding.

If you are in the area and have a strong interest in the future of the high street and surrounding area, we want to hear from you. This includes if you are a -

  • business owner
  • freeholder
  • community group
  • community representative

You can -

  • make suggestions for the area
  • ask to be put on a ‘keep informed’ list
  • apply to become a member of the partnership

Being a member of the Partnership means -

  • listening to other’s views
  • discussing issues and ideas
  • making decisions for the good of the community

There will be many opportunities for you to help, including volunteering activities such as litter picks, and also shape the vision for your area through -

  • a range of consultation and engagement sessions
  • events
  • polls

We take the collection and management of data very seriously. Any information we collect will only support the work of this project. We will use it to keep you updated on our goals, achievements, new opportunities for you to get involved and to have your say. 

Access to this information will be controlled and only accessible by our staff who work in this area. Our staff have a legal duty to keep your personal data confidential. More information can be found in our privacy policy.

Your contact details will be kept until the end of the pilot programme. This is scheduled to complete by the end of March 2025. After this date, more consent will be sought to involve you in any later project activity. Your details will be deleted from our records and shredded if this is not received.
